I never left.

Four years this March and I am still here. Talk to anyone who has come down island, and they might share a similar sentiment - that in fact Virgin Gorda never leaves us. I remember flying from Toronto in the worst snow storm - I was delayed for three nights in the US and finally arrived at Trellis Bay. I was thankful my cousin was waiting to ferry me to the Bitter End Yacht Club in the North Sound, albeit four days late.

I arrived on vacation in North Sound, Virgin Gorda just over four years ago, and to this day Leverick Bay remains my only true home away from home. Four years gave me such a profound sense of belonging as strong as my ties to my native Toronto. What must it be like to have been here since the ground broke and Leverick Bay began? The regular menu includes miso-glazed grouper, five-spice pork belly, and Mediterranean sea bass with soba noodles and Himalayan truffles. The restaurant also features a nightly tasting menu paired with fine wines. The Sugar Mill is open for dinner five nights a week and has a private dining room with seating for up to 12 guests available for small groups and reunions.
