Jaclyn Zimmerman is a true citizen of the world, right down to her Japanese, German-Irish heritage.  A native San Franciscan, Jaclyn is an open-minded, down to earth adventure-seeker, who loves a quick witted sense of humor and views of the water.

Inspired to continually explore and discover new things about the world, Jaclyn loves meeting new people who share her passion for the unknown and who are ready to dive right in.

Outside of the Bay, she has lived in New York, Oaxaca, Firenze, Malaga, Hawaii, London, Washington DC and now Berlin.

Secret Summer Beach Bar - "No Pictures, Please" - the bouncer at Bar 25

Summer in Berlin is hot, so the locals cool down in one of the numerous Biergartens or Beach Bars planted around the city.   The best places to go offer water views, food and dancing. One of these, Bar 25, is hidden away on the far east side of town.  Two compounds located directly next to each other on the Spree,  Bar 25 has a mini circus stage, restaurant, multiple outdoor bars with dancing, a huge tree with swings, a vintage photo booth, outdoor volleyball, a skate park, a huge person sized chess board, BBQ, a few different bars, and film screening arena…and multicolored mood lighting…It is an adult wonderland.

Berlin has a little bit of something for everyone.  Guest lists, trendy outfits and high society are all things of the past.  If the bouncer tells you that your name is not on the guest list, it just means that he doesn’t like you.  There are no guest lists.  In fact, some bars will turn men away if they have a button down shirt on. “Please, Only T-shirts tonight.”   Grungy clothes may even get you further than cash!
